Alice Major Alice Major lives in Edmonton, Alberta. She has published five previous collections of poetry, including Lattice of the Years (Bayeux Arts, Calgary) and Tales for an Urban Sky (Broken Jaw Press, Fredricton) both of which were shortlisted for the City of Edmonton Book Prize. Her work has been recognized in a number of literary contests in Canada and the United Kingdom. Most recently, she was co-winner of the Malahat Review's 2001 long poem contest. She is a past president of the Writers guild of Alberta, past chair of the Edmonton Arts Council, and former president of the League of Canadian Poets. |
